Steel Union is a fresh country trio, made up of Rachel Potter, Josh Matheny and Donny Fallgatter. These three friends are making waves in Nashville and across the country, hooking audiences with their catchy melodies, impressive vocals, and infectious harmonies. Though they have only been playing together for 3 years, they joined forces with fruitful careers behind each of them.

Following the closing of her third Broadway show, Rachel moved to Nashville to pursue a country music career. In New York, she starred as Glinda in Wicked, Wednesday in the Addams Family and the Mistress in Evita. She then went on to become a finalist on The X Factor, where she earned international praise for her country rendition of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Rachel enjoyed a successful solo country career, releasing 2 solo albums, being played on CMT, multiple viral cover videos, and being written up in Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Huffington Post, to name a few.

Josh is a world class Dobro player, having been featured on multiple Country number 1’s, most notably on Carly Pearce’s recent smash, “Every Little Thing.” As a musician, he has performed with countless country acts, including Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne, Runaway June, Carly Pearce, Vince Gill, Jerry Douglas, and many more.

Donny fronted the beloved Nashville band, KingBilly for over 7 years, along with Josh, who played dobro in the band. Though they never broke on country radio, they were very well known and respected both in town, and around the country. Their member list is star studded, with John Osborne (Brothers Osborne) and Charlie Worsham as some of the founders. Their frequent shows in Nashville, called “KingBilly is Your Friend,” brought huge crowds and even bigger names to the stage. Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, and Kree Harrison were just some of the featured guests.

Keeping with tradition, Steel Union launched its own monthly show entitled “Steel Union and Friends,” bringing in their favorite artists and bands to share with their fans. They recently released their first self titled EP, available now on both iTunes and Spotify. Visit www.wearesteelunion.com for more info!
