Springfest a free, family event in our very own backyard in downtown Little Rock will be held once again on Saturday, April 1st. Grab the kids and come out to play! Springfest is a special day packed with food, family, fun and sun on the banks of the Arkansas River. You'll find everything from acrobats and art projects to food trucks and flying dogs. Activities for the young (and young at heart!) include: Food Trucks, Arts & Crafts, Springfest Pooch Parade, Rock the Dock and Various Community Performances. Remember admission is free and will be open from 10-6.

We are now accepting 2017 Springfest artist merchandise applications. Springfest will be held April 1, 2017. Complete and sign the application and return it with a $125.00 non-refundable fee to Springfest as soon as possible. Acceptance notices and contracts will be issued as soon as possible. Springfest presents the 6th Annual "Ruff on the River Pooch Parade" and Short Legged Dog Races to be held on Saturday April 1st, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. This year's theme is "Saturday Night Fever"! Dress up your pooch in a Disco themed funky costume! New this year is best decorated groovy stroller and wagon. Come on down and boogie! Ruff on the River and Springfest want to build awareness for animal organizations in need. What better way than to get the community together for some fun while helping to promote others. This event will showcase animal rescues which include: All About Labs, Little Rock Animal Village, and C.A.R.E.
The registration “PAWTY” starts at 8:30 a.m. on President Clinton Avenue just east of I-30 and Ferry. You won’t miss it! The parade will kick off at 9:00 a.m. and continue down Sculpture Plaza and end at the First Security Amphitheatre where the infamous Weenie Dog Derby will take place. If you do not pre-register online, you may register your Pooch for the parade as well as the Weenie Dog Derby on site for $5 per pooch. Each Pooch must be registered.
After the parade join us for the Weenie Dog Derby for all short legged dogs with your favorite emcee's Craig O'Neal and Roger Scott! There are three different sized categories for the short-legged dog races.1) Beenie Weenies - Measures no more than 8" in height. 2) Hot Dogs - Measures 9-12" in height. 3) Summer Sausage - Measures over 12" in height. Join our celebrity judges as they give away top prizes at the Winners Circle and award the winners of the "Ruff on the River Pooch Parade" for the best costume, best stroller and best wagon!

The Super Retriever Series Super Dock, presented by Riverfest is once again making a SPLASH for the entire family. The SRS consists of many events, Super Fly and Super V are 2 of the favorites. It is comparable to track and field, only for dogs! Super Fly is the distance or long jump into the pool and Super V (Vertical) is the high jump competition also into a pool. Super Fly and Super V competitions are fun to watch as dogs test their skills on the dock. This year we are introducing Mini Fly for all our smaller dogs! If your dog likes to swim and retrieve be sure to bring him down and give it a try. All Amateur are welcome to enter our Amateur Super Fly Event. Looking for a spot to recharge your pooch? Well look no further. Join the Canine Country Club at the "Hot Dog Cooling Station". Your pooch can rest, recharge and grab a drink of water before competing in his or her next competition.

Stop by one of the three Tag A Child booths onsite at Springfest and get a QualChoice wristband with your child’s name and phone number in case you’re separated. And then visit the Hero Zone for vital personal and online safety information from the Morgan Nick Foundation.
The Hero Zone will feature the Little Rock Fire Department, Little Rock Police Department, MEMS, Arkansas State Police and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department. The Hero Zone is an area where children will have the ability to interact with the heroes that keep them safe.
Construction Zone is an area where children can sit in & climb on large equipment and learn about how the equipment is utilized.
We are excited to have the Jesse White Tumblers join us at Springfest. The Tumblers have been thrilling audiences since 1959 and have performed numerous times at Riverfest. This team provides a positive alternative for inner-city kids. Team members must stay away from gangs, drug, alcohol, stay in school and maintain a minimum “C” average. The team consists of male and female participants as young as age 6. The Jesse White Tumblers will have four performances throughout the day at Springfest.
Four time Grammy nominated Trout Fishing in America will be performing again this year at Springfest! Trout Fishing in America is a musical duo which performs folk rock and children's music. You can catch this duo on the McDonald's Amphitheater Stage on Saturday, April 1st at 2:15 pm.
mömandpöp is the brainchild of husband and wife songwriting duo Bobby Matthews and Virginia Ralph. For nearly twenty years they worked in separate careers in Memphis, Bobby as a K-12 art specialist and Virginia as a company member of "The Voices of the South" theatre company. In 2014, they decided to join forces. The result? mömandpöp!

The Nature Center offers an overview of wildlife conservation by showcasing the mission of the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. Highlights of the center include a 9,000 gallon aquarium of native fish, watchable wildlife viewing area, nature exhibits, gift shop & an antique fishing tackle display. The center is the place to come for information about the natural divisions of Arkansas. Admission is free during Springfest.
